Course Name: Effective Instruction and Intervention in Writing and Mathematics: Supporting All Language Learners

Course Objectives:
- Course participants will be able to identify the key characteristics of students with writing difficulties, mathematics difficulties, and emergent bilingualism.
- Course participants will be able to understand the unique characteristics of students experiencing co-occurring needs across writing, mathematics, and emergent bilingualism.
- Course participants will be able to implement effective, evidence-based teaching strategies and intensive interventions for students with writing difficulty, mathematics difficulty, and emergent bilinguals, as well as for students with co-occurring needs across these categories.
- Course participants will be able to utilize a variety of assessment tools and methods to identify and interpret student needs related to writing, mathematics, and emergent bilingualism as well as for students with co-occurring needs across these areas.
